Paid advertising management

The platform can spend. The business still has to define success.

targetLAB manages client campaigns in Google Ads, Meta Ads and Seznam Sklik, with conversion tracking, campaign structure and ongoing control tied to an agreed business action.

Ad accounts make spend visible immediately. Business value is harder to read. A form can submit twice, a phone call can go untracked, or a campaign can optimise towards a page view because that is the cleanest signal available.

Google Ads and Sklik meet demand already expressed in search. Standalone Meta Ads reaches selected audiences before they phrase that demand. Sklik is assessed for the Czech market by geography, language, search demand and available data rather than added by default.

Automation now decides more bids, matches and placements. targetLAB sets the conversion, campaign structure, exclusions, budgets and landing-page requirements, then checks actual queries, costs and data before changing direction.

Platform changes

Automation has gained reach faster than control

The current job is to give each system sound inputs, set boundaries around it and know which parts of the placement report remain unavailable.

01

Dynamic Search Ads are moving into AI Max

Google plans to move campaigns with automatically created assets and campaign-level broad match into AI Max from September 2026. Dynamic Search Ads are scheduled for automatic migration in February 2027. Existing settings and history remain, but the control surface changes.

02

Czech AI search carries different ad inventory

As of August 2026, ads were not active in Google’s Czech AI Overviews or AI Mode. Sklik ads had appeared below Seznam Asistent answers since 25 June 2026, with no separate targeting or reporting and a maximum of two ads per query.

03

Sklik automation needs enough conversion history

Sklik’s conversion-maximising strategy requires a campaign to be active for at least 7 days and to record at least 30 conversions in the previous 30 days. The threshold decides whether the strategy is applicable; it says nothing about whether it will outperform another approach.

04

Consent signals now affect advertising features

Since March 2024, Google has required the ad_user_data and ad_personalization consent signals for EEA traffic. Missing signals restrict audiences, remarketing and parts of measurement; correct implementation cannot be replaced by a bidding setting.

What the work covers

Campaign decisions tied back to a business action

The account structure, the measurement and the landing page are handled as parts of the same paid-traffic system.

  1. 01

    Define the paid action

The brief names what the campaign should produce and how it can be observed: a qualified form submission, measurable call, booking, order or another agreed action. The conversion specification is aligned with analytics before bidding learns from it.

  2. 02

    Choose the platform mix

Google Ads, Sklik and standalone Meta Ads are selected by search demand, geography, language, audience, sales cycle and the amount of useful conversion data. A Czech campaign does not receive every platform by default.

  3. 03

    Build the campaign structure

Search, product and audience campaigns are separated by offer, location, language and intent where the data supports that distinction. Budgets and bidding strategies follow the structure rather than compensating for a mixed account.

  4. 04

    Manage standalone Meta Ads

For paid audience acquisition, targetLAB manages objectives, audiences, placements, budgets, creative variants and exclusions in Meta Ads. This is separate from promoting selected social posts within an SMM assignment.

  5. 05

Align the ad and the landing page

The promise in the ad must continue on the page. Small changes to copy, layout and tracking are included; larger development work is set out in a specification and checked after implementation.

  6. 06

    Verify data before optimisation

Tags, forms, measurable calls and imported actions are tested for missing or duplicate conversions. Platform totals are read with their consent and attribution limits instead of treated as an unquestioned sales ledger.

  7. 07

    Run and explain the account

Search terms, negative keywords, audiences, exclusions, budgets, bids and assets are reviewed as the data develops. Models help group queries and flag anomalies; targetLAB decides what changes and records the reasoning in writing.

What remains in the client’s hands

  • Platform and campaign map
  • Campaign structure inside the client’s advertising accounts
  • Conversion specification and measurement requirements
  • Advertising copy and briefs for visual assets
  • Audience, query and exclusion lists
  • Landing-page amendments and specifications for larger changes
  • Log of material campaign changes
  • Written account reviews with the next actions

These working records show how spend is being managed. They do not promise a position, enquiry volume or return.

PPC questions

The choices inside paid media

Which advertising platform should come first?

Search advertising comes first where people already look for the offer in clear terms. Meta Ads is useful where the audience can be described before the demand is expressed. Sklik adds a separate Czech search and display environment. The decision comes from demand, geography, language, available data and the path to an enquiry or sale.

Is Sklik always part of a Czech campaign?

No. Sklik is assessed as its own platform. It earns a place through relevant Czech demand, suitable inventory and enough budget and data to manage it without thinning the main campaign.

Where do Meta Ads sit: PPC or social media?

PPC manages standalone Meta Ads campaigns, including their objectives, audiences, placements, budgets and creative testing. SMM may promote selected content as part of managing the social channel.

Can targetLAB work with an existing advertising account?

Yes. The review covers campaign history, conversion actions, access, billing links, account structure, search terms, exclusions and material past changes. Useful history stays in place while the account is reorganised around the current objective.

How are AI Max and Performance Max controlled?

Control sits in the conversion definition, feeds, assets, landing pages, brand and URL exclusions, negative keywords where the campaign type supports them, budget limits and the reports the platform exposes. Automation chooses within those inputs; targetLAB checks where it expanded and whether the traffic still matches the brief.

What does Consent Mode change for PPC?

It passes the user’s consent state to Google tags and affects audience building, remarketing and conversion measurement. targetLAB checks the technical signal flow with the analytics setup. The legal basis and wording of the consent interface belong with the client’s legal adviser.

Discuss the account before adding more spend

Share the current Google Ads, Meta Ads or Sklik setup, the site and the business action that matters. The conversation will centre on what the account records, where automation is making decisions and what needs clearer control.
